The FCJ Centre community was full of joy on September 1, 2026, as we warmly welcomed Sr. Bonnie Moser, FCJ as the new Local Leader of the FCJ Sisters Calgary community.

Sr. Bonnie returns to the local community after spending the last six years serving as General Superior, guiding the international FCJ congregation with steady faith, wisdom, and a big heart. Her roots run deep in Alberta, from growing up on a family farm in Killam to attending boarding school with the FCJs in Edmonton, where her connection to the congregation first began. A lifelong educator, Sr. Bonnie earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Gonzaga University, served as a teacher and principal in Calgary and Toronto, directed the FCJ Centre, and served on the General Council. Anyone who knows Sr. Bonnie knows her warmth, her sharp humor, and her natural gift for bringing out the very best in everyone around her. The FCJ Centre community is thrilled to have her back and looks forward to walking alongside her in this new season. Welcome home, Sr. Bonnie!

With this transition, the FCJ Centre community also extends its heartfelt thanks to Sr. Ger Curran, FCJ, who has served for more than ten years as Local Leader of the FCJ Sisters.

Sr Ger is also a valuable and loved member of the FCJ Centre staff and we appreciate her gentle wisdom and relentless heart for justice, which inspires many programs of the Centre.

Wishing her God’s continued blessings.
