COMMUNITY OUTREACH
We take outreach seriously at the FCJ Centre! Our Outreach Programs are perfect for schools, parishes/churches, assisted-living facilities, libraries, and any other organizations that wish to bring a memorable experience to their community.

As part of our Lenten season projects, FCJ Centre has placed a donation box in our lobby to donate to Society of Saint Vincent de Paul- St Mary’s Cathedral. We invite our Centre friends, program attendees, and donors to contribute to this drive by bringing canned goods or other essential items.

Confluence of Faiths: FCJ Centre Joins 2026 Calgary Interfaith Breakfast
On Thursday morning, May 14, more than 200 people gathered for the annual CIC Breakfast, a room full of faith leaders, advocates, and city representatives all focused on one theme: "Confluence of Faiths." It was a morning of fellowship and reflection on how faith communities can act as the moral backbone of Calgary, especially during what many described as a "hard season" for the city and the world. Representing the FCJ Retreat & Conference Centre were four staff members and one FCJ Sister, joining the conversation on how to bridge the growing divisions in our modern society.

Opening of the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week 2026
More than 100 people from various religious and spiritual communities gathered at Calgary City Hall on February 1 to open United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week 2026, celebrating this year’s theme, Confluence of Faiths. Elders, youth, families, and faith leaders walked together in procession, symbolizing the many spiritual traditions flowing side by side in the city.

CIC Breakfast’s Courage to Connect: Calls for Authentic Relationships
At a recent breakfast gathering hosted by the Calgary Interfaith Council, the FCJ Centre was invited to take part. Two FCJ Centre staff members and two FCJ Sisters attended, joining guests from various religions and Christian denominations in a shared call to embrace the courage needed to build genuine and transformative connections across faiths, cultures, and communities.

Unity in Diversity: The 2nd Calgary Interfaith Breakfast
On May 9th, the FCJ Centre staff and sisters had the privilege of attending the 2nd Calgary Interfaith Breakfast. It was an incredible experience to listen to the insightful and inspiring speeches delivered by Mayor Jyoti Gondek and The Honourable Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor Alberta to more than 200 faith leaders from different religious backgrounds.
