MODELS OF OBEDIENCE

Last September, the FCJ Centre ran a program focusing on Women in the Bible and how they exemplified faith and obedience in their own stories of desolation. Every week, we explored someone different—some we know quite well but some were not as well-known. Together, we read and talked about their stories and how we can learn from their strength and courage during times of difficulty.  Each week, we had an opportunity to look at our own narratives and how, like these women, we can choose to walk in faith and trust during our challenging moments. We shared some space and time for quiet reflection through different activities such as journaling and praying through art. We enjoyed sharing stories with each other and found comfort in knowing that each of us has been chosen and divinely placed “for such a time as this.” (Esther 4:14)
