An Advent Twilight Retreat

What is the secret of joy and how can we be joyful in a time of darkness, trouble, catastrophe?

The psalms remind us again and again that joy is to be found in seeking, finding, loving and being close to the one has created us and holds us in being.

“In the shadow of your wings I rejoice” we pray in psalm 63. In God alone is joy to be found.

Advent time is a time of hope and expectation for a new coming of God into the darkness, as Light, as Love, as Joy. Let us take time to be present to the mystery of Incarnation and come close to the one who comes to us as a little child.

Sr. Ita Connery, fcJ Sr. Ita has been in the ministry for over 25 years, working at the FCJ Centre, as well as facilitating workshops and retreats in the wider community. She is extensively trained in Ignatian Spirituality, is certified as Mid-Life Consultant, and also holds a Certificate in Jungian Psychology, having studied at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. Sr. Ita is creative, artistic, and musical.
