In these past two years you may have often asked: “God, how long?”

At this weekend retreat we will explore the prayer of lament, a Hebrew prayer of worship

and how it demonstrates a wholesome way to grieve and find solace in God’s presence.

Life on earth is not always happy and the practice of lament is an often-neglected tool for practicing our faith. This retreat is especially helpful for all those who are grieving.

Alicia Dykstra is part of the Outreach Team at the FCJ Centre. During times of illness and grief writing has helped her to process and voice what was inside of her and needed to be spoken. Learn about lament in a safe and caring environment.
