Guest Bathroom Renovation Complete, More Upgrades on the Way
Happy Easter from all of us at the FCJ Centre!
We’re happy to share some good news with you, our friends, donors, and supporters. The first phase of our guest bathroom renovation is now complete!
Thanks to your generosity, and with the support of the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) from the Government of Alberta, we’ve been able to make some much-needed improvements.
Here’s what’s been done so far:
-
26 new toilets have been installed in the guest bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors (13 on each floor).
-
We’ve also replaced the old linoleum with luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring, a safer, more durable, and more comfortable option for our guests.
The original toilets were over 45 years old and used up to 12 litres of water per flush. Our new water-saving models use just 4.8 litres, helping us reduce our water use and be more environmentally conscious.
What’s next?
This summer, we’ll continue the upgrades by renovating the main floor and basement common washrooms, another step toward making our space more accessible, welcoming, and sustainable for everyone.
While these changes may seem simple, they speak to something deeper: our ongoing commitment to hospitality, care, and stewardship.
Thank you again for walking alongside us.
