Visio Divina is a free art group designed to help connect you with God through art expression and meditation on scripture. Over lunch we will ground into our space, make art based on scripture with a chance to share about your art and art making experience if it feels right. This is a sample of what the Deeper Art groups held in-person at FCJ Centre will look like later on this year.
Participants will need to have their own materials at home. It does not have to be anything fancy. Even using pens, highlighters, markers with printer paper works. Whatever you have at home.
Katlyn Lim works part-time as an Art Therapist under her own practice, Blue Flame Art Therapy, and part-time as a Campus Minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at various universities in Calgary. She believes God desires to be in a relationship with all of us but that he gives us the choice to be in relationship with him—talking to him and listening to him.
In both of her roles, she seeks to help people encounter and hear from God through art, whether they have been following him for a long time or want to know him for the first time. She believes that when we hear from Jesus and encounter his love we receive healing and life.
Deeper is an art group designed to help you connect with Jesus through art expression, meditation and reflection. We will make art based on different themes with space to share our experiences with each other in community.
