At the FCJ Christian Life Centre, we believe that every small act of generosity can spark lasting change. That’s why we’ve launched a new initiative called “Bottle of Hope”, a bottle and can collection project that turns everyday recyclables into real impact, both here in Canada and beyond.
This isn’t just about recycling. It’s about creating a cycle of hope, where something as simple as a soda can or an empty bottle becomes part of a much larger mission. Rooted in the values of Laudato Si’ or Praise be, an encyclical of Pope Francis, even our smallest actions can reflect a deep care for our common home. Each recycled item becomes a gesture of stewardship, a way of participating in the healing of our Earth, and a sign of our shared responsibility for future generations.
This initiative supports ongoing outreach efforts, with a special focus on youth and young adult programs.
This year, Year of Hope, we are honored to announce our first major collaboration with Beeti-Harri Society for Education & Economic Development, South Sudan School Project, focusing on building classrooms in BuDI County, one of the most underserved areas in the country and providing primary education for poor and disadvantaged communities.

Thanks to your generosity, the revenues from your donated bottles go toward purchasing critical construction supplies like as bricks, cement, and roofing to build safe, long-lasting schools. In regions where youngsters are eager to study yet there are no suitable classrooms or even basic facilities in areas where children are eager to learn but lack even the most basic facilities. Your empty bottles can help build a future—each can and bottle carrying hope at the heart of it all.
The funds raised will be used to:, with each cans, each bottles
Support “food-for-work” programs, where community members come together to make clay bricks and help build their own schools.
Purchase essential construction materials like cement, corrugated iron sheets, timber, and nails to build durable, long-lasting classrooms.
Empower youth and young adults through projects and programs that promote hope, generosity , leadership, learning, and global solidarity.
We invite you to join us in this movement. Donate your bottles. Spread the word. Support our cause to change those kids’ life.
Bring your bottles on Saturday August 9 from 10 am to 2 pm to the FCJ Centre , share your love and meet Paul Atanya Beeti-Harri South Sudan Project manager . Together, we can change lives—one bottle, one brick, and one classroom at a time.
