The Sacred Heart of Jesus reveals a love that transforms sorrow into grace and suffering into hope. As followers of Christ, we are called to draw closer to God through compassion, tenderness, and listening—becoming builders of peace in a world that longs for healing.

We are made in God’s image and God is love. So, love is in all of us as we walk this earth. I know, and I hope you do as well, I know that I am held in the circle of God’s love – yes, God loves each one of us individually as well as loving all of us! It is bring mindful of this love on a daily basis that is so important! I see God’s love as a Circle of Love – God loves us –that love dwells in us—we bring that love to others!

MAY MIDWEEK REFLECTION

SS May.png

Jesus gives us many invitations as we journey through life. Before he ascended to heaven He gave His Apostles the message, the invitation, to continue His work and spread the Gospel – the Good News! That invitation is ours as well. How are we responding to Jesus’ invitation to collaborate with Him? Each one of us can say: How am I responding to Jesus’ invitation to me? Do I say “Yes”, “No”, or “Maybe”? It is up to each one of us to respond to Jesus as we receive His invitations to collaborate daily – Invitations coming through scripture, through nature, through other people, through the challenges and the joys of our daily life. May we all strive to respond to Jesus’ invitations to us with a resounding “Yes”.

Again this week, I want to share with you on Mary, the Mother of Jesus. The month of May, traditionally is the month when we give special notice to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Not only is she the Mother of Jesus but she is our Mother also. Yes, when Jesus was on the Cross He said to St John “Behold your Mother”. Jesus said that to all of us.

Joan Chittister writes: “Mary, our Mother, is one of Mary’s most common titles. We cling to it all our lives. Why? Because “mothering”, the sense of being cared for and protected, supported and understood is the human being’s primal need.”

God gifts us in many ways.

Wisdom helps us see from God’s perspective. Piety teaches us to obey out of love. Fortitude gives us the strength and courage to do what we know is for the greater good. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, may we grow in faith, love, and purpose each day.
