About the Event
This is a non-traditional creative and interactive way of walking the stations of the cross. You will learn about the story leading up to Easter as you meditate and share together Jesus’ journey to the cross. The stations will be set up in the garden of the FCJ Centre and will include an activity around the fire pit and planting seeds to take home.
Director(s):
Alicia Dykstra is part of the Outreach Team at the FCJ Centre. During times of illness and grief writing has helped her to process and voice what was inside of her and needed to be spoken. Learn about lament in a safe and caring environment.
Dawna Richardson is a member of the Outreach Team at the FCJ Centre. After earning a Bachelor of Theology degree from Newman Theological College, Dawna worked in various parishes and in school ministry. She worked in parish youth ministry for several years before joining the Calgary Catholic School district as a High School Chaplain. During this time, Dawna’s focus was on leadership growth and faith development for the young people she worked with. Dawna is working to expand the young adult presence at the FCJ Centre through actively seeking out collaborators to grow the FCJ Centre as a place of belonging for young people in our Diocese.
NOTE: the program will be held outdoors so please dress for the weather, but in the event of extreme poor weather, may be moved inside.
