Take A Break: Directed Silent Retreat - May 27, 2022

The Take a Break weekends provide a silent retreat experience in a brief form. Over the weekend, you will have personal prayer and reflection time in your own comfortable private room, in the beautiful surroundings of our chapel and on our beautiful well-groomed grounds. A daily meeting with a Spiritual Director will help you to unpack your retreat experience and offer further prayer suggestions. It is a golden opportunity to deepen your personal relationship with God and to discover anew how much God loves you! Delicious meals prepared in our kitchen and snacks are provided on the Saturday and Sunday morning. The retreat concludes after lunch on Sunday. There is free parking at the Centre. Sr. Ann Marie Walsh is a member of the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ), and a staff member at the FCJ Christian Life Centre. She offers individual spiritual direction and individual or group retreats in person and on-line. Ann Marie came to the FCJ Centre in 2012 after many years in Catholic Education, both as a teacher and an administrator. She has held various leadership roles in her congregation. Having received her training in spiritual direction with the Jesuits at Loyola House in Guelph, Ontario, she was a member of the retreat staff there before coming to Calgary. The ministry of spiritual direction gives her the opportunity to remind people that God loves them uniquely and individually. Accompanying people in their search for a closer relationship with God brings her joy.
