ONLINE Support for the Daily Examen - Humility

Jesus says to us: “Learn of Me, for I am meek and humble of heart”. (Matt.11:29) Too often humility is looked on as cowardly. But, in reality, it is far from that! It is not a sign of weakness, timidity, or fear; humility is an indication that we know where our true strength lies. Humility is truth, and the truth is that we have all been uniquely created by a loving God and have been given unique gifts. These gifts have been given not just for ourselves but to share with others. Tonight’s Examen will help us look at how we recognized God’s gifts to us today and how we responded to God’s generosity.

Sr. Ann Marie Walsh, fcJ. Sr. Ann Marie Walsh, a member of the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus (fcJ), offers individual spiritual direction and individual or group retreats at the FCJ Centre and in parishes. Following many years in Catholic education, both as a teacher and administrator, Ann Marie received her training in spiritual direction with the Jesuits at Loyola House in Guelph, Ontario and served on staff there before coming to Calgary in 2012. Ann Marie loves the ministry of spiritual direction and delights in journeying with people searching for a closer relationship with God.
