In this book, which is a spiritual treasure, David Fleming, S.J. provides an accurate, inspiring and very readable summary of Ignatian Spirituality. Joining this Book Study Group will provide you with an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of Ignatian Spirituality and reflect on how it can enhance your spiritual growth.

Director (s):

Fr. Charles Pottie-Pâté, SJ is originally from Nova Scotia with Acadian roots. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1959. Father Charles has been giving the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola since 1970 in one form or another, accompanying people in their journey of faith. He was in the Calgary diocese from 2011 to 2020. He is now missioned in St. John’s, NL and his ministry involves the continuation of his work with Ignatian Spirituality including the Spiritual Exercises, retreats, and spiritual direction. Father Charles is a musician, plays the piano and organ and has been involved in liturgical music ministry.

Sr. Ann Marie Walsh, a member of the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ), offers individual spiritual direction and individual or group retreats at the FCJ Christian Life Centre and in parishes. Following many years in Catholic education, both as a teacher and administrator, Ann Marie received her training in spiritual direction with the Jesuits at Loyola House in Guelph, Ontario and served on staff there before coming to Calgary in 2012. She is always interested in promoting interest in Ignatian Spirituality. Ann Marie loves the ministry of spiritual direction and delights in journeying with people searching for a closer relationship with God.
