IN-PERSON Take a Break - Directed Silent Retreat

A Take a Break Weekend Retreat will offer you time to experience a personally directed prayer experience that follows the dynamics of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius while listening for God’s personal word spoken through the Sacred Scriptures. You will have time for quiet prayer and reflection and also meet daily with a Spiritual Director to help unpack the experience and for further prayer suggestions.

Patricia Harasym, a member of the FCJ Centre Resource Team, offers spiritual direction, individual and group retreats, and programs at the FCJ Centre. Patricia received her training in Ignatian Spiritual Direction at the FCJ Centre Calgary and her master’s and Ph.D. level training in Communication and Culture from the University of Calgary. A lay Benedictine oblate, Patricia has practiced Christian Meditation in the tradition of Fr. John Main and the World Community of Christian Meditation for 25 years. Taught by Engeline Piet, she writes a monthly Christian Meditation newsletter and facilitates Christian Meditation groups through the FCJ Centre. Patricia’s background in health services research on peoples’ lived experiences of health and illness and her passion for compassionate and equitable communication underlays her desire to find God in all things.
