About the Event
The day will explore how individuals & faith communities can cultivate authentic belonging for persons with disabilities (visible and invisible), a series of discussions around accessibility, inclusion, belonging, intersecting with the Gospel teaching of Agape, healing and cures. Discovering how faith communities can interrupt the perpetual grieving individuals and families with disabilities are in due to constantly living in “lack & deficiency” to prove worth of supports, to become places authentic belonging for all.
It will be a commute one day retreat, with lunch and snacks included (coffee/tea) included.
Ty Ragan, Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology), is a dedicated advocate, writer, speaker, and educator. As a PTSD and PNES survivor, as well as a stroke survivor, he brings lived experience and resilience into his professional and personal work. He is also a proud partner and father of two—one medically complex and one a gifted storyteller and songstress—who continually inspire his journey.
