About the Event

This bi-weekly online group offers the gifts of Christian mediation and community. Each session includes a welcome and introductions, a recorded talk, a meditation session, and an opportunity to reflect and share.

Additional Information: Why not begin your day with silent prayer? Meditation is an ancient form of contemplative prayer found throughout the ages within the Christian tradition. Often referred to as “the prayer of the heart”, its aim is to bring the distracted mind to silence and stillness and to rest in the presence of God. Even in our busy, noisy lives, this is possible! We learn to become more present to God, to ourselves, and to those with whom we live and work. Meditation does not replace other forms of prayer but can deepen your experience of other prayer practices. No experience is necessary!

This group is part of The World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM) founded by John Main. He once wrote:

“When we meditate, we are still in body, soul, and spirit, entirely open to the presence of God knowing that presence to be pure love, pure gentleness, pure forgiveness. We become truly who we are: created by God, redeemed by the love of Jesus, temples of the Holy Spirit. We are made utterly free, free to be ourselves, free to love ourselves, our neighbor and God”
