Advent Women's Retreat

Over the ages, Mary has been an inspiration to people of faith and especially women. Different traditions have given her different names that were relevant to their time and place. We will look at Mary as Virgin, Lady of the Underworld, Mystical Rose, Untier of Knots, and other names and be encouraged to live faith-filled lives and to follow in Mary’s footsteps. Through teaching, sharing, and creative, contemplative activities, we will discover that Mary is inspiring and relevant for our time and place as well.

Director:

Alicia is part of the FCJ Outreach Team, with a background in Education, Art, and Spiritual Formation. Coming from a Protestant tradition, she found Mary one day and discovered the many similarities with her own life as a woman, mother, and follower of Christ. No matter what life throws at you, you can find comfort and inspiration with Mary.
