30 Day Retreat Full Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola

This 30 plus day live-in retreat experience is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Participants journey through the Exercises with personal prayer and reflection and meet daily with an experienced Spiritual Director. In the silence of this retreat, participants grown in developing a deeper ‘knowing’ of God’s love for them and an ever-growing desire to respond to this love. Director:

Sr. Ann Marie Walsh is a member of the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ), and a staff member at the FCJ Christian Life Centre. She offers individual spiritual direction and individual or group retreats in person and on-line. Ann Marie came to the FCJ Centre in 2012 after many years in Catholic Education, both as a teacher and an administrator. She has held various leadership roles in her congregation. Having received her training in spiritual direction with the Jesuits at Loyola House in Guelph, Ontario, she was a member of the retreat staff there before coming to Calgary. The ministry of spiritual direction gives her the opportunity to remind people that God loves them uniquely and individually. Accompanying people in their search for a closer relationship with God brings her joy.

Additional Information: The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius are comprised of meditations, prayers and contemplative practices developed by St. Ignatius to support people desiring to deepen their relationship with God. This 30-plus day retreat is open to all who have a daily practice of personal prayer and have been receiving Spiritual Direction on an on-going basis. The retreat provides a wonderful opportunity to come to the FCJ Centre, fix your own daily schedule or prayer, reflection and relaxation and meet daily with an experienced Spiritual Director. The director will guide you through the weeks of the exercises and assist you in savoring your prayer and life experiences. The wonderful staff at the FCJ Centre provides delicious, nourishing meals, a private en suite room in the beautiful building and surroundings to add to your experience of finding God in all things! So many people who have made this retreat have expressed that it has been life-changing for and the fruits of this journey continue on in the years ahead.
