12-week Retreat in Daily Life - An Individual Directed Retreat

The Opening and Closing meetings will be group meetings online. The weekly meetings will be one on one here at the Centre (or if needed by Zoom) once a week for 12 weeks. Appointments will be made at times convenient for both the director and the recreant. Participants limited to 6 people. 

Participants must purchase the book Finding Christ in the World by Joseph Tetlow, S.J.  and Carol Atwell Ackels. This can be purchased from Sunrise Marian Distribution Welland, Ontario L3B 3Y. The initial meeting on September 13, 2021. Details will be arranged between the retreatant and the director. 

Director (s):

Sr. Ann Marie Walsh, a member of the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ), is on staff at the FCJ Christian Life Centre where she offers individual spiritual direction and individual or group retreats. Following many years in Catholic education, both as a teacher and administrator and as a Local Leader in her own religious congregation, Ann Marie received her training in spiritual direction with the Jesuits at Loyola House in Guelph, Ontario. She was a member of the retreat staff there before coming to Calgary in 2012. Ann Marie loves the ministry of spiritual direction. She delights in reminding people that they are individually loved by God and journeying with people who are searching for a closer relationship with God.

Karen Wold has Lutheran roots and a heart for ecumenical and interfaith collaboration. As a Spiritual Director, Karen has a particular interest in Ignatian Spirituality and has completed additional training in giving Spiritual Exercises. She is also learning the art of companioning through BioSpiritual Focusing. Karen is an active member of the Calgary Association of the Spiritual Exercises Apostolate (CASEA). She enjoys gardening, hiking with her family, and watching wildflowers.
