He is Risen - During the easter week, the FCJ Christian Life Centre held its own Easter Egg hunt entitled Let’s Get Egg-stra Egg-cited last April 7th. The egg hunt is a popular event enjoyed by people of all ages during Easter celebrations. According to Martin Luther, the joy the women and children experienced as they found eggs mirrored the joy the women felt when they found Jesus' tomb empty and realized He had risen.
The event has divided into two sessions and was also participated by the St. Basil Melkite Greek Catholic Church Arab Syrian community. Sr. Ann Marie Walsh, FCJ spoke about the Easter Egg hunt tradition and the symbolic meaning of easter. After a short discussion, kids and parents/guardians moved around the FCJ ground to start looking for hidden easter eggs and afterwards a wonderful easter egg arts and crafts session was conducted for them to reinforce the meaning of easter and make it a more memorable event. bring home
