Mandatory Restrictions in Effect to Stop the Spike

Alberta has entered a critical stage of the pandemic - the arrival of highly transmissible variants has put pressure on our health care system. Additional restrictions come into effect starting May 5.

These restrictions will be in place for at least 3 weeks and will be extended if necessary.

The impact on the FCJ Retreat and Conference Centre are as follows:

Indoor gatherings

  • The Centre will be closed to all groups from May 7 -May 25.

Outdoor gatherings

  • All outdoor social gatherings must be limited to no more than 5 people and a maximum of 2 household cohorts.

  • The community garden will remain open with a limit of 5 people around the garden site at any one time.

Workplace Rules

  • Working from home remains mandatory unless the employer requires the employee's physical presence to operate effectively. Our maintenance, kitchen, housekeeping, and reception employees will be physically present. All other full-time employees will be working from home.

  • (Spiritual Direction & Counselling) services will be open by appointment only.

  • There will be no in person events, individual or group retreats available. We will continue many of these programs online only.

Thank you for your continued dedication, and flexibility, as we move through these trying times.
