Support for the Daily Examen - Basic Teachings
St. Ignatius proposed frequent examinations of our consciousness of how God is present and active in our lives as a powerful tool for spiritual growth. However, many people experience a need for support as they try to incorporate the practice of the Daily Examen into their lives. Every Tuesday evening, between 8:15 and 8:45 pm MST, one of the Sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus will companion with you, as you do the Examen. The first Tuesday of the month will offer teaching and practice of the basic Daily Examen. If you’ve been struggling to make the Examen part of your daily spiritual practice, join us for a few weeks or months and see what a difference the Examen will make to your life!
Sr. Ann Marie Walsh, fcJ
Sr. Ann Marie Walsh is a member of the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ), and a staff member at the FCJ Christian Life Centre. She offers individual spiritual direction and individual or group retreats in person and on-line. Ann Marie came to the FCJ Centre in 2012 after many years in Catholic Education, both as a teacher and an administrator. She has held various leadership roles in her congregation. Having received her training in spiritual direction with the Jesuits at Loyola House in Guelph, Ontario, she was a member of the retreat staff there before coming to Calgary. The ministry of spiritual direction gives her the opportunity to remind people that God loves them uniquely and individually. Accompanying people in their search for a closer relationship with God brings her joy.
